New Senior Management Teams 2016
16th January 2016

St. Mary’s have appointed Glenullin clubman Dermot McNicholl as Senior Football manager for the 2016 season. All-Ireland medal winner Dermot brings plenty of experience to the role from both an impressive playing and managerial career. Playing honours include an All-Ireland Senior Football medal in 1993 as well as Ulster Senior Titles in 1987 & 1983, the All-star winner also boasts 4 McRory Cup and 2 Hogan Cup medals with St.Patrick’s College Maghera and 3 Sigerson and 2 Ryan Cups with UUJ as well as a 2 year playing stint with professional AFL side St. Kilda. The Derry man has amassed a wealth of managerial experience following the conclusion of his playing career, the St.Pat’s Maghera teacher has been involved with numerous successful sides within the college and has also managed at club level with his native Glenullin, Dungiven, Ardboe & Slaughtneil minors in 1998 as they won the Ulster Club Minor Title. Dermot will be guiding the club senior footballers in the new look Division 2 as they hope to bounce back from a disappointing 2015.

Paul McFerran returns for a 2nd year at the helm of the club’s senior hurling team. Following on from a successful 2015 where the club claimed its 3rd Antrim Junior Hurling Championship crown, Paul will be aiming to build on last season as the club move up into the intermediate ranks.

Former club senior hurler Kevin Collins will be in charge of the club’s camogie team this year. The Lavey man will be assisted by former club camogie players Stacey Baird & Aileen Hardy as he embarks on his first year as the club’s camogie manager.

The club would like to wish all our management teams a successful 2016.
