Rasharkin too strong for St.Enda's

St.Mary's Rasharkin (4-13) v St.Enda's (0-16)
Following Rasharkin's impressive win in the Minor Hurling Championship last week against St.Paul's
this fine bunch of talented players proved too strong for St.Enda's in the North Antrim Minor Hurling "B" Championship
final at Glenravel. This was a great victory for a team who really are playing and winning as a confident unit. Eight teams
compete in this North Antrim league with the top two teams meeting in the Championship Final, St.Enda's claimed the second place
spot with Rasharkin having an undefeated campaign sat top.
Niall Mc Givern got the Glengormley men off to a positive start with a point from play inside the first two minutes;
Enda Mc Ferran opened Rasharkin's account a minute later before corner forward John Mc Goldrick napped over two points from the
placed ball. Daniel Doherty pulled one back for Rasharkin before Shane Hasson drew the sides level after ten minutes.
St.Mary's got their first goal a minute later Conor Mc Keever played a long ball into the square where skipper Shane Hasson pounced
to smack the ball beyond Ben Arthurs in the St.Enda's goal.
Ryan Lynch and Daniel Doherty added two further points for Rasharkin before their second goal arrived
through Kelan Darragh after eighteen.
Kelan Darragh started the second half with a burst; he followed up a rebound shot from James O'Mullan to
register his second and Rasharkin's fourth goal. Darragh's stick work and shot from the edge of the square left
Ben Arthurs no chance on the St.Enda's line. Daniel Doherty added five further points along with two from Enda Mc Ferran
and one from James O'Mullan proving too many for St.Enda's. They did have scores in the second period from John Mc Goldrick
(who amassed an impressive ten points all from the placed ball), Declan Dillon, Niall Mc Givern and Rian Gillan.
Rasharkin's were worthy winners with a classy performance full of teamwork, skill and determination.
North Antrim secretary Mary Kane presented Rasharkin Captain Shane Hasson with the plaque after the match.
